Elgin Soil Analysis Workshop

One Day Workshop - Soil Analysis from a Geological Perspective
Farmer and geologist John Slack of Agricultural Mineral Prospectors has conducted a soil audit within Elgin County to evaluate current soil quality, mineral potential and recommended practices that will result in soil restoration, thus increasing the yield and quality of the foods grown.  A presentation during the morning will provide an in-depth understanding of Elgin’s geology and how, as farmers, we can work with this information. During the afternoon, John will conduct a hands-on evaluation of soils within the Dancey farm.

Cost: $40. including lunch                    Pre-registration required.
